3 years of unappreciation plus a back stab.

Nothing is worse than being unappreciated at work. What’s even worse, is when you are fired without warning; what is uber worse is when your entire department is laid off without warning or care.

It’s funny, how you will see a brand in how their product is represented, and it elicits comfort, trust, and awe in a way — you love eating the brand, you recommend the brand, and one day you even work for the brand.

The job is a labor of love, you give it your all, you produce immense results, and you continue to grow its brand recognition, and make sure you are flooding the market with product, and soon it essentially becomes a house hold name, and even an admired and respected brand in the industry.

BUT, what happens when the owner of the brand is a sexist, stubborn, plays favorites, does not see the bigger picture and essentially loses his way type of bigot? What happens when that boss breaks the LAW?… I don’t know, but all I know is that currently there is a class action law-suit, and the result is a single mother with cancer was fired while under FMLA, a pregnant deaf woman was also part of this casualty, and several go-getters that were promised bonuses and raises – who then purchased homes based on that promise, have all been hung out to dry.

I can’t say all business is this way, but I know that the modern day landscape for small to medium sized businesses are not the same. Life is hard, life can be cruel, but in the end, there is a shining light, and that is that for every door that closes, one better one will open. I am now in a large reputable corporate position, with an organization that appreciates me, respects me, and is paying me what I am worth, and most importantly does not demean me, or make me feel like garbage.

… DAMN MONDAYS!
